You guys are doing great at listening and responding to feedback. Keep it up!! The more solid, understandable, and actionable the descriptions are the more exciting they are to read about. I like it, keep it up and keep it real. |

I agree with Whyteria, and appreciate Barb's techno-questions.
We bought an XO laptop (see http://laptop.org/en/laptop/)and donated one for use in developing countries.
Another option might be cell phone/email connectivity--developing countries have entrepreneurs renting cell phones by the call, and more people are familiar with cell phones than computers... |

The premise is an excellent one. It would be good to hear more about your specific approach and how you are going to connect these different groups of women and ensure the resources are efficiently utilized. I also agree with the comments surrounding understanding differential access to technologies and considering ways to overcome this. I hope this project gets funded so you can think through the details and connect women globally. When we fund women, we build community capacity! |

Barb, thank you for commenting, that is a good question! We mentioned this briefly under benefits section, but here is the jist of it.
We have been discussing the limited if not impossible access to computer technology for some women in various parts of the world. This is where our on the ground meetings (instead of the online connections), one on one mentorship with a formal mentor and basic business classes offered by SG come into particular importance. Eventually, we hope the RoseLeaf will be able to provide access to computers to further assist these women. Thank you again for taking time to put so much thought into your comments!
Best wishes,
Holly Hardison |

How do the women gain access to computers in developing countries? |

You site is very well balance and has effective use of visuals.
Empowering women in a community is the first step to eliminating poverty and violence.
You really seem to understand the root of the problem. |
