This is an exciting idea. Am I correct in understanding your mission is to create a website to link women to resources especially those of SG? Could you include this in your welcome?

I hope this takes off!

Call Oprah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really! see if you can penetrate her people to tell her about this fantastic idea. Women are already doing making micro loans to other women. I belong to a woman's group that makes micro loans to women in Central America but the problem with that is that it seems like charity, rather than a business arrangement with the accompanying expectations of mutual respect and accountibility. Women need opportunities to succeed and the sense that their talents are valuable and worth investing in.

I like the strong mentoring aspect of this project!

My first time through the site, I was confused about the difference between SG and RoseLeaf. I think I understand now that Roseleaf is the name of the online social network that you will create?

I would not have succeeded, and eventually started and many years later sold my business, were it not for my female mentors.

Gloria, great suggestion. We could definitely add a search feature for people on the website interested in finding babysitters. I also, could see a group forming to promote these kind of opportunities, recommend sitters, etc. We'll look to add that in our next round of demos.

I would also like to see in your networking, a resource for the problems historically unique to women, such as dependable and affordable childcare, and caring for elderly parents. Perhaps part of the networking could be resources for addressing these issues. Too often women have to choose between family and a career. Helping to solve the most basic of problems further enpowers women to succeed.
